So yea.. in this vegas heat.. my RB25 wont get any lower then 210-215 degrees on the freeway.... normal stop and go.. its all good.. but on the freeway its 210..

so my question is.. is 210 ok.... it seems allright.... the over flow isnt boiling.. and when i stop at that temp and pop the radiator cap off it doest blow off hella steam or coolent.. just dribbles out..... any idea...

heading to Famoso CA tomorrow.. hoping ill make it!!

I'm sure you already know this but... hotter is better from a strictly thermodynamic standpoint. The reason to run a cooler engine is to stave off detonation.

So, if you are running a 14 psi cap, then you can get to around 250º F without boiling over with 100% water, and 210 will be fine. However, if running that hot means you have to back off on timing, then you of course need to cool it down a bit.

I can't think of any long-term effects of running that hot at the moment. Do you have a water-cooled turbo?

Btw, do you have the plastic "splash cover" that runs from the front lip back to the sway bar? If you have issues with overheating at speed, then that plastic matters.

Or maybe it's just that massive FMIC.
