I've searched for the past few days and have been reading up on what works the past few months, nows the time to buy. Very simply is anyone running a 20x8.5 +40ish offset with a 245/35/20 and rubbing when hitting any bumps ect?

I don't want to go with a smaller width because I like the profile of the 245/35 and the biggest offset offered for that wheel is a +40 not to mention 8.5" is also the smallest.....

Thanks for any help

not reading the right threads.. what do you want to know about the fitment of that size.. im riding them now... 38 offset

Check EBAY for comparable wheels that are around 30% less than those you posted... i got mine for 650 delivered with lugshow bout these?http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...photoCall them up for a lower price... name yours...mine was "can ya do it for $650 delivered with lugs?" and he asked me for my CC#

Ohh... also, this will NEVER RUB... but you cant lower the car

Meh... mesh spokes are too thick. picky

I know a lot about fitment and sizing but it never hurts to see what people are riding on. Everyone I've read having problems is running on +35 offsets. The other who have been safe are on a +45 or running a narrow tire. I might just start sorcing other wheels.

I might just look at picking up a set of 225/40/20's which will set the tire diameter at 27.08 over the stock 26.31 about a 2.9% error which is pretty big. If anything it'll help seal up that wheel gap a little more and hopefully give me a little room to the fender with some Eibach Pro kit springs. I still don't know…. I could always strap the wheel down to a CNC mill and take a little off, stock permitting. Too much work.

If you hit a bump hard enough does it rub? Everyone is saying that setup will

no, everyone, inlcuding myself, has said that that setup will rub on bumps with the 2.5S sedan... I purposefully went over some speedbumps and other bumps yesterday, and the stiffer suspension on the 3.5 coupe keeps it from rubbing! I can't say the same for a 1" drop... it all depends on how stiff the suspension is with the Eibachs!

I can vouch for the stock suspension on the 20x8.5 with 245/35's.... ive gone over many speedbumps and more potholes and nonsense than id care to share... i also slightly curbed 2 wheels (really slightly) but i went halfway up a curb when i did it and it didnt rub... after its 1-1.5" lower...well we will see!Im really excited to get the springs...

Well I was looking for some added insurance when I do drop the car as soon as I get my Pro kits but you're making some sense. I want to have a setup that will work no matter what the drop is and the pro kits are progressive so if you haven't rubbed after bottoming out there's hope. I'll never do anything like a sportline drop, like to keep it subtle. So what's the going rate for rolling fenders if it comes down to it?

I was referring to rolling the fender around the wheel. A couple high hp MR2 (turbo t-top) are running 18x10 setups with the wheel very tightly tucked underneath, looks so clean.

I have no rubbing issues at all on my sedan. Not sure how much of a drop difference there is on the Coupes
