Maybe he put an extra Zero in the title by accident. These cars are not worth that much. Guys like that are the ones who hold each and every receipt pretending that since they paid X amount of dollars for a part, that they should in turn get equal value when they sell the used car.

I see a nice car, but COME ON!!!! way too much money. The market won't support $20k.

No level headed kid or parent would take out such a loan to buy a used old probably rusted chassis, unless it's some rare collector car, which that S13 is not.

Well that'll be to cheap for 2k, because it has s14 blk top + other mods as the discription says, I believe it is 20k. For that much it better have TOP notch **** like at least some 19" SSR SP1 Professors wrapped in ADVAN Neovas, full suspension, racing interior, FAT turbo setup, etc.....

That car doesnt even look like it has 5k under the hood, thats including the motor, which looks to be the s13 black top and still side mounted intercooler.

Clean looking car and clean looking swap but not a 20k car.

Maybe he meant $10k ... still kinda high for a swapped S13, but if he's in So Cal they bring so much more.

^^true. Honestly unless a shop built a car from the ground up with all the goodies, I still don't see $20k. My comment about an extra Zero was in jest. It's just too much no matter the location.Halve that price and he'd still get lowballers, deservedly so.

Oh, I agree completely, but if you check your local market prices, versus smogged Cali cars, you see there's a premium . That's all I was saying.

I have a question: what is a reasonable loss that one should take? 15%?

Thats pretty insane. The more you spend on a car the more you loose. Sometimes you are better off buying a project car to save cash but beware what you are getting into.

thats awesome'too many parts to list'

20k for a 13 second car ..... thats about a stock blacktop with a few boltons

i can see 20k if he has those 12 piston brakes that cost $16000 for a set .. that would make it about right

You all over look 2 important facts...1.) it has a carbon fiber hatch, and as well all know they use carbon fiber on race cars...2.) its drift ready...I don't think I need to say more on this one...

Honestly I don't think there is a standard answer, its just what ever the market dictates...take a look though classifieds and see what car similar to what you want to do are selling for.

he updated with a parts listand he knocked it down to 15k

hes shooting really high on some of his price lists too... an 89 books @ 1500

and he didnt install anything himself, he just threw money at the car

"""Total $ 16,877Plus Installation Labor don’t come cheap I work for everything on this car everything is “bought not stolen” “ No Bull ****” I am not in a hurry to sale and if you do not agree with this be gone don’t waste your time calling me talking crazy """"

the parts list still doesnt mean much as thats his fault he can't do the installation of a blow off valve himself lol. no one pays for a tint upgrade lol. he has some decent stuff but still no where near the 8K mark. he just didnt shop properly and couldve saved himself alot of money by doing some of the work himself. the 89 body already does him in by a g as said before.

i'd say about 8k is somewhat reasonable. we all know alarms, carpet, tint, paint basically is worth near nothing when resold. exhausts dont go for much used either around 300~ in good condition.

if i were to sell this car i'd part the taillights, trunk, short shifter, alarm, and some other stuff because those don't really help the resale value too much.

basically looking at approx 1500-2k since it has a decent repaint, 2500~ for the used sr, 700~ for used coilovers depending on condition, 200 for the sway bars if its branded, 400 for the wheels and like 300~ for the exhaust. the rest is like giveaway better off parting.

honestly, if i dump 17k into a car and can get 15k out of it say a year later i'd jump all over it. buy all these parts to play with for temporary and barely lose any value... it's not like these cars are fully welded, caged and lots of custom fab like tubed wheel wells etc. just a lot of stuff slapped onto a car really.

Maybe he is forced to sell the car, but is looking for a reason why he can't. Like he would take too big of a hit on his stuff. But yes, I agree that it is entirely too much.

$20k and he didn't even have the electrical tape striping removed. HAHAH. I'd pay somewhere around $6-7k at the most.
