Anyone here ever put a 205/50r15 on a 15x8? I figured this would be a nice size with a little stretch for my next tire setup. I was thinking maybe even a bit smaller like 195/55 or 195/50... anyone?

It can be done somewhat easily but is already too short a tire.Seating the beads will prove difficult the smaller you go.

i had a 195/60 on a 14x8 one time, i liked it pretty good, wheels were too small though.

if you are only doing it for style points i would choose a more logical tire size, cars with 15"s and stretched tires have to basically be sitting on the ground to look cool. only possible if you have no body kit. if the car is any higher it will just look dumb, like you cant afford the right sized tires.

if the car is pretty low and you are doing it to clear the fenders, i would personally choose the lowest profile available, but keep in mind the load rating will be really far off. under normal circumstances this shouldnt be much of a problem, but its somthing worth mentioning.

I'm going for performance, I want something that either brakes loose or doesn't... My car isn't that low.

195/60 is probably my best bet for drifting, as it's the cheapest and easiest to find.

I was kinda wondering about tires for more of a grip/drift setup, I like overstear so something thats really stiff (stretched) in the rear seems like my style.

at least run a 205-55-15 or 225-50-15 so they load index is correct for your ride man....

you'd be suprised at how much more progressive the car will be compared to the too short/too low load index 205-50-15.

I would stick with 205s. I liked 205 for drifting on stock alloys being N/A.
