I have a 97 pathfinder and it currently has 203k miles and is still running as good as the day i got it at 140k. I was just wondering what the average life span for one of these R50s is?

True True..but will last you longer than a Ford...I guarantee you that!

Had a friend with a 91 Honda Civic with about 370,000 miles on it, I was like "still running?" "what the hec?"

I have a 2001 SE Pathfinder with 120,000kms (75,000mi) on mine, and I have yet to have a single engine or transmission problem ( aside from the odd 02 sensor failure or the best was an "intake valve postioning sensor")I have had struts replaced, brakes and every minor kind of maintenance, but have yet to have any major issues. If you treat these girls right, they reward you with tons of driving joy.

I actually did some backroad 'canyon' carving last night. I found a deserted stretch in Newmarket, ON, and really opened her up on some twisties. It was heaven. I would have been a pig in s*** if I had a manual, but I still loved every second of it. It's always fun to drive her like ya stole it every once in a while. Of course, it was a closed course with a profesional driver.

I'll be hitting the 200,000 Km. mark in about a week. I'm excited.(I know, it's only about 130,000 miles, but I'm still pumped).Still runs like new. No major breakdowns ever. Just the usual maintenance. Uses less than a litre of oil between changes (synthetic of course).Still have the original suspension (front and rear, except for front stabilizer links), original rear brakes and exhaust.I've replaced front pads, but I still have the original rotors. Never been off the truck.I get the feeling this thing will be in my driveway for a long time yet.I still love driving it.

I've got about 168K miles on my '01 PF, about a third of those towing a 2K poundboat trailer. I'll drive it til it dies or I die.Do the required maintenance, esp. oil and filter changes.

you guys make me real optimistic ive got just under 80k miles on my 99 (128,000kms) Only major things that ive ever done to it was pads, exhaust, distributor cap, starter (due to poor installation of remote starter from previous owner), and spark plugs. Aside from that just fluids. Ive had 2 o2 sensor codes for well over a year and i still passed emmisions and get great gas mileage.

People that drive these as "regular cars" and dont realize their potential really are missing out. I know there are forums out there for pretty much any vehicle, but when you go on many affordable car forums, you'll see the majority of the threads being problems with the vehicle, I know we get our fair share, but I can bet its less than most forums.

My biggest problem is figuring out this mystery dent I got!

I just noticed it walking to my car yesterday from work. I don't have a pic, but I will snag one.it is on the B-pillar, drivers side door beside the window. It's so wierd. HUGE dent, with a black mark that I cannot for the life of me get out! It's on a super tough part of the cmetal, and looks like someone dropped a ladder or something onto the car.

If I ever find whos been denting my car. I'll be investing that hard saved money to... yea. You know.

My 2002 Pathfinder had 224,000 miles on it when the engine got owned...but before that it had no major problems.I'm still not sure what happened but being that it had been my mom's daily driver I'm guessing maintenance wasn't her top priority.
