Encountered a couple of odd electronic glitches today with the radio on a 2025 Y63 with 1,000 miles.
The vehicle came with a Sirius XM trial and I have programmed a handful of SXM stations to the radio memory. This morning, the default memory selection was playing over top of other SXM selections such that two songs were playing at the same time. I turned the radio on and off and it still was playing two stations simultaneously. I switched the source from SXM to FM and it still played the default SXM station overtop of the FM selection. I then switched the source to AM and manually entered an AM radio frequency HQ'd in town and heard both the morning news and the SXM station playing simultaneously. When I started the vehicle up on my commute home from work everything worked properly.
Later the same day taking my kids to sports practice I turned the radio on and the volume was loud. Not at the max but loud enough that it warranted being turned down. Unfortunately the volume knob did not work. The volume image would illuminate on the screen and would visualize moving left and right with turns of the radio volume dial but the volume would not change, neither up or down. Again, I tried turning the radio off and on again and the problem remained. I tried switching the source from SXM to FM and again the volume problem persisted. I switched the source to AM and the volume knob was still unresponsive. Upon arrival at practice I turned the car off and started it back up and the problem persisted.
I briefly Googled the issue between football practice drills and some suggested using the steering wheel volume buttons as a fix. After practice I started the car and immediately toggled the volume using the steering wheel volume controls and everything worked fine on the ride home, including the volume dial on the center instrument cluster.
Anyone encounter something similar? Any guesses as to WTH is going on? Doesn't inspire confidence that a month old vehicle with 1,000 miles is already experiencing technology glitches.
