So on our 22 Rogue SL we have something that gives THREE BEEPS when you attempt to open or close the liftgate/tailgate using the buttons.
Well we were rear ended during a snow storm and the BEEPY thing was busted and fell out of the underside of the car.
The Rogue did ok overall and is still drivable at least - but metal underneath was bent around which caused this little unit to crack off and break away onto the pavement. Initially I didnt think it was from our car but kept it.
Of course the next time I tried to use the tailgate - there was no sound to be heard.

Its a small black square unit with a 2-pin plug on it - but no part numbers or anything.
I've spent days looking at microfiche and cannot find nor see this part anywhere.
Our body shop and Geico (The at fault drivers insurance) also cant find this part.

Now, I presume eventually someone will source the part but I figured I would ask here in case either someone knows what the part is actually called and/or the PN for the little unit.

It's beyond busted.

So if anyone has a clue what this thing is called or ideally a PN - that would be greatly appreciated!

The only things back there with two pins are the sensors for the hands-free "kick" opener for the hatch. One has Blue and Red wires, the other has Pink and Light Green. I think they actually go wire-to-wire on the sensors, which I believe are part of the rear splash panel assembly. Because of that, they won't show up as a discrete part in the Parts Catalog. On an SL you should have a power liftgate, and that will beep when it tries to open. However, if it beeps but isn't lifting then there's likely another issue with the hatch besides the kick system no longer working.

This device has 2 wires:

Yellow and Green and are soldered to a gold like disk.
It actually looks like a beeper to me - Tailgate works fine but has no 3-BEEP sound when it opens or closes.
If the car came with one of those show-your-foot-and-i-open-the-tailgate, we have never used this nor even knew
if the car actually came with it..

This burnt orange connector hanging down in the pic was connected to the device.
The actual unit was mounted just under the weld caulk stuff but behind the big white wire loom harness in the center of the pic:

That makes sense now. The only Brown connector in the whole back of the car is for the liftgate warning buzzer B61, it's a 3-pin RK03FBR with the center slot unused. The part you want is 25640-6RR0B. To get it back in its original spot you'll need to take the left side of the bumper cover loose, but since all it does is make noise, I'd say it's safe to zip tie it somewhere easier if you don't want to take the trouble.

Thanks so much. Thats the part.
I have forwarded the Nissan Part link and part number over to the body shop.
We will have the car totally repaired as needed with this part going back to its original place.

Good find!

Ironically we just tested the 'kick' to open tailgate.
It worked.

Neither of us ever knew this car had that. The salesman literally gave me the keys and instantly left for his honeymoon.
So no 'in-service' and no follow up. We had a heck of a time trying to figure out how to use R or N in this car with the new
odd shifter it came with.

Pathetic.

But - at least we learned about a new feature we never knew we even had!
