So i am creating a new post, since its been few months since I last posted in here, but the issue I had with shaking, jittering, and the car felt sluggish, like misfire or even a transmission.

:wtf2: just wanted to update you guys on a very important situation. So as few of you have read that I had a issue with my 2022 Nissan rogue jerking, shaking while driving. Basically it came to a point that I didn’t feel good driving it anymore because each morning when I drove it the car shook, felt like it was a misfire or the car was choking like it wasn’t getting fuel. After 9 thousand miles of seeing what could the issue be with taking the car to two different Nissans dealership I came up empty, then one day while driving from work I was getting ready to fill up on gas again. I was about 65 miles to empty. I noticed that the car has been driving great for passed 2 days. No shaking no slushing or jerking feeling. So and I admit this issue is a SELF Fix. We do it all the time. I have done this to all my cars before.

When you are filling up your car at the gas station. DO NOT!!! I repeat. DO NOT fill your car with gas all the way to the top so the gas spills out. After the pump clicks thats it!!! stop right there!!!!

What I was doing after the pumped clicked I proceeded with putting additional gas SLOWLY until I hear it or seeing it spilling out of the gas hole. Basically you can get additional gal of gas that way, maybe more.

There is a purge tank or reservoir tank that the overflow of gas and fumes go. I am guessing that the car was trying to empty that small reservoir and was taking the fumes out or little amount of gas causing the shake jitter choking misfire or lack of fuel feel or what ever you wanna call it.

If you are a person that tops off your tank until it spills over. JUST STOP because if will cause issues for you. These days these cars are loaded with electronics and are very sensitive if you will. To everything.

So a self fix that lasted for 9 thousand miles and two trips to Nissan thinking of could be the above issues or even CVT transmission.

It’s my fault I know good thing I have self diagnosed it and fixed the issue.

Update: confirmed from a Nissan tech who worked on my car through this, he attends classes at Nissan each month or so to better him self, he gave my case to the instructors who teach the classes at Nissan and they confirmed of this reservoir tank issues.

I am after 2 fill ups with no issues.

Again don’t over fill guys. :dblthumb:

I just got off the phone with a DTS and confirmed all of what you discovered. Most Nissans don't have a problem with pushing in an "extra gallon" unless you get carried away, but Nissan seems to have changed the ORVR (Onboard Refueling Vapor Recovery) setup on the gen3's such that at very slow fill rates, it doesn't cut the fuel off completely until it reaches a level which can flood the Evap Canister. While it isn't really an "issue" in the sense of needing to be fixed, it is different from older models and definitely something owners should be aware of. Good job working it out and posting about it!

I use to fill it to the fullest potential by trying to get every drop of gas into my tank for years until I read somewhere or a scotty video, that said it would damage your vehicle doing this, hence I've been filling until it stops at the first click.

So yah, I've been playing it safe and your problems proves overfilling tank is bad, bad, bad! :poke:

most of my fears and came back true...the car for some reason drove fine for 3-4 days, then it went back to its bucking shaking state as it was previously....had a appointment today.....drove it with a shop foreman...the car drives fine....i am above frustration,,,,why it does it for me when i am alone each morning when i drove to and from work and wont do it just once with a tech or someone from nissan...i just want to drive this car into a lake and be done with it... i am experiencing this every morning but not this morning with a shop foreman....
