2022 Armada questions

Greetings All. I spent 4 days this week with a 2022 Armada as a rental in OK. This thing is pretty big and VERY comfortable. Big change from our 2013 Rogue and 2017 Quest - but I don't think I'd buy one. It had the 5.xL V8 which is the same one used in the Titan I hear.

Questions:
- CVTz50 app would not work in this thing. The adapter connected fine and scanned but would not display the results. Anyone running that app in theirs?
- A couple of times the engine seemed to go into a towing mode or something without warning (not towing anything). Gear ratio or shift points seemed to drop and the fans roared like crazy. MPG went down. Did that for like 40 miles then stopped. Just curious if this is normal?

I've tried CVTz50 on several non-CVT vehicles and it didn't work on any of them.

Sounds like it has a fan clutch that's malfunctioning. It's the sensor and not the clutch itself causing the issue, but it's a rampant problem on the newest VK's.
