I am interested in getting the 2021 Rogue but I have question regarding the storage capability for long items. In the previous version of Rogue, it is possible for the front passenger seat to be moved forward all the way and then reclined all the way down, such that the length of the object can go all the way to the front dashboard. I would like to ask if in the 2021 Rogue, the front passenger seat can do the same? Photos will be very much appreciated. Thanks!

The completely redesigned 2021 Nissan Rogue has been on the market for only a few months. If I recall correctly there are presently FOUR forum members registered with a 3rd gen Rogue. It may be awhile before someone can answer this question.

VStar650CL, I don't seem to be able to find the PM button. I am on Chrome. Hope it is nothing to do with the browser.

I notice you don't have 10 posts yet, that's why there's no PM. Got the reminder, I'll check one later today.

VStar650CLis correct, members with less than 10 posts cannot send or receive PM's (although you can send them to staff). This helps to cut down on spam.

Just below your profile is a CONTACT link, when you click on that a nearly identical looking link (see image) pops down. You'll need to click on that to open the PM section. I should also note that sent messages will show in your outgoing box until they are read by the recipient.

The answer is yes, it's pretty much the same as the gen2's. Took a couple pics, I'll post them tonight when I get home.

I didn't try moving the rear seat all the way back and removing the headrest, so it's possible it will go down completely flat. But you can see it's already close enough that with the headrest pulled, your kayak's nose could touch the windshield. :chuckle:

VStar, first of all, thank you very much for helping out! I appreciate the photos. I just wanted to check a couple more things. 1) With the headrest removed, is the gap sufficiently large for the seat to be further lowered such that it is flat with the backseat? 2) Does the seat motor travel limit allow the seat to be lowered flat? Thanks again for your help on this.

Like I said, I dunno about perfectly flat. It was raining and I was getting soaked, these 66 year old bones won't take much of that. But it was already within the thickness of the front seatback, so if it won't flatten, your "bump" would be 4~5" at most.

I was always impressed with the first generation’s ability to haul long items with the seat down.

But I always reclined the seat forward because the Rogue practically allowed it to go flat but with a slight degree of a slant. No need to take the headrest off and helps avoid getting the seats dirty. Works great for surfboards, long planks of wood, even a tall person sleeping with their legs facing forward. :chuckle:

Got a better look at a '21 in for PDI this morning. It will lay flat but you need to pop both headrests, front and rear. :)

Honestly, it could have reclined further yet. I didn't pull off the headrests on the rear seats, and the back of the front seat was forcing it down even more than it naturally lays. So to answer your question, absolutely it lays even with the folded rear seats, and then some. :chuckle:

firebirddude, very nice and clear photos! Nissan has definitely given a lot of thought to this aspect of storage for long objects. The seats in the Honda CRV and Toyota RAV4 can't do this.

Super nice looks like you have the blue Platinum version with the tan analine seats in it. I have that similar layout in my 2018 SL with the Premium Package, and Platinum Interior package and the two tone interior. I might have get that interior but it only is an option in a couple of colors but with blue is real nice. I need to see if I can find one in a few months when I turn in my '18 for a '21.

Yeah we had to search out the two-color paint. Blue bottom, black top. We have a friend at a Nissan dealership who we were trying to give the sale to, so he searched delivery dates of that exact model at all the dealerships around us. He tried to get them to transfer the car to his dealership in trade for a 2021 orange platinum, but nobody wanted to play ball. In the end, we had to drive to a random dealership the day it was delivered and buy from them. I felt bad for our friend, but we waited over a month with him and he couldn't get his hands on one. Just how the cookie crumbles sometimes.
