Can I upgrade navigation on my 2021 Rogue?

The newest Nissan's all have Over-the-Air (OTA) update capability in the navis. You need to go to the "connections" screen and connect the car to WiFi, preferably your home gateway. If you have "automatic update" turned on, that will automatically download and install any firmware updates whenever the car can "hear" your house. Maps for the navi have to be selected and updated manually, but you do it the same way, via WiFi. The exact path to reach the update screen varies from model to model, but I'm pretty sure you'll start with "info". If you explore your touchscreen menu it shouldn't be too hard to find.

Upgrade or update?

The system should automatically notify you when an update is available.

Upgrading is a whole can of worms that is complicated at best.

Update, although I suppose it will inevitably add firmware utilities for new apps that may come out or changes made to phone operating systems. Apple has been a complete PITA that way for a long time, they're prone to "move the furniture" in their IOS's without notice, then basically tell people, "Deal with it until we patch it." I don't think there's ever been a new Apple IOS that didn't give everybody problems. The OTA should provide a means to respond to those sorts of exigencies much faster.
