I am considering a Rogue 2021 purchase and have been doing a little research. I have read the manual and searched the index and can find no mention of a cabin air filter. I have searched the internet and can find no reference or replacement part. I don't think there is one! Am I missing something?

There is definitely an air filter in the 2021 Rogue.

The completely redesigned third generation Rogue arrived at Nissan dealerships in late October. That means this version has been on the market for all of five months. It can take up to a full year before aftermarket stuff hits the shelves. I use nissanpartsdeal.com for reference, and they currently only go up to 2019.

Anyway, as casperfun pointed out, you can get filters from your local Nissan dealership.

That's a canned message from a Bot. It replaces the any date you search for - it's a marketing thing. Means nothing. Try finding a part number.

I've never seen a car with a cabin filter that does not mention anything about it or how to replace it in the owners manual!

When the Nissan Micra was offered on the Canadian Market for the year model 2015, altought there was a mention of the cabin air filter in the documentation, no Nissan Micra was equipped with an actual filter, regardless of the year (2015-2020). In 2016, Nissan erased any reference to a cabin air filter from the brochure. The compartment for the filter was there, behind the center console. Many of us, Micra owners tried to obtain a filter from Nissan dealerships, but they refused. We had a part number from Europe, because Micras there were equipped with the filter and many of us were able to fit a filter from Europe. So, it is not totally impossible that Nissan "forgot" to install an actual filter in the 2021 Rogue. Not their first lie and/or corners cut.

Thank you but I already knew what the reference site is.

It's not uncommon for owners manuals to have missing info. I once bought a new car that had six pages of corrections printed up and folded into the manual. No big deal.

I called a Nissan dealer and he does have a parts listing for the filter. So since I'm going in the next couple of days to look at a new one, I'll check it out in the show room. Weird that its not mentioned in the 500 page owners manual!

They may not even be aware that the info is missing. File a Bug report...

From the owners manual under the maintenance tabs:15,000 Miles/18 Months/24,000
Km
Standard maintenance:
. Inspect Intelligent Key battery
. Replace In-cabin microfilter
. Perform tire rotation
Severe maintenance:
. Inspect brake pads and rotors
. Inspect exhaust system
. Inspect steering gear and linkage
. Inspect axle and suspension parts
. Inspect propeller shaft (AWD models)

So there is a reference in the owners manual although not detailed. They keep you trying to figure out where it is so they can get you to have them replace it for you.
