Did your 2021 Nissan Rogue come with an engine cover? Mine did not. Should I buy one? I have been reading about engine covers. Some people think it just gets in the way. Others say it helps with engine noise and keeping dust, dirt, and water out of the engine. What is your take on it?

If you're into looks, making the engine bay look pretty, then get one. If not, I wouldn't splurge on one, just another piece of crap to take off while working on the engine.

Our 2021 did not come with an engine cover. Admittedly, it does look weird not seeing one but I agree with @casperfun that it is just another piece to get in the way.
As for keeping the engine clean, I would think that the majority of dirt and water intrusion actually comes from the bottom side of the engine bay, as opposed to the top side. Therefore, no engine cover will stop that.

The earlier Rogues didn't have covers, and I don't think the '21's broke the mold.

Thanks for everyone's response! I did see engine covers on some videos online. I'm not one to work on my car, so the cover wouldn't be in my way (it'll probably be in the way of the mechanic though). You guys are right though that the dirt would most likely come from underneath the car. Thanks again!

Everybody forgot to mention the cover adds 5 horsepower to your Rogue. Whoa jumplaugh.

Yep, and switching to lightweight headlight fluid will knock another 0.1 off your 0~60.

My 18 sv did. My 21 Altima did not. I replace spark plugs every 50k and would rather not have one honestly.

The so-called "engine cover" is literally a massive airflow box. Not sure why Nissan designed it like this, but again, Nissan is either a hit or miss in all departments.

Nah, you are low balling it

That cover adds 120 HP for 20 HP per letter of Nissan spelled out.
