New cabin air filter every spring which isn’t ever bad. When I put the ac on recirculation I get a musty smell that goes away if switch it to fresh air. I’ve sprayed the vents with Lysol from under the hood as well as inside and it works for a bit but not permanently? My plan is to spray a foaming cleaner from the drain into the evaporator but for the life of me, I can’t find the drain. I ran the ac yesterday expecting to see water dripping but it was in the low 50’s so no luck. Anyone have any idea where this drain is?

Pop the kick panel at the front of the console on the passenger side, the drain hose should be right there. IIRC it egresses through a firewall grommet more or less forward of the passenger's left foot.

It looks like it drains on the passenger side, right above the fake mudflap but I can’t see a hose. I’m on to servicing the wife’s brakes on her 24 sl. I pulled the rear pins yesterday to lube them and man were they tight. Plus next to no lube on them. Any suggestions vstar or is this normal? The rubber pin was especially tight, but doesn’t look swelled by any means. My 18 rogue and 21 Altima are nowhere near this tight of a fit

They don't lube the pins very much at the factory, so yah, that's kind of normal. That drain is pretty tucked in up the firewall, not easy to see. I never mess with that end, just blow through it from the cabin.

Any tricks to getting that panel off? It’s the one on the left attached to the center console or the one on the door side?

Center console. Just pull it loose, it's two pawls at the back and a pushclip at the front. The hose is right there.

Much appreciated. I bought some mothers fogger and set that off, then sprayed a half can of Lysol on the fresh air setting into the cowl with the cabin filter removed. Installed a new cabin filter, now I wait to see if this demon smell returns. I’m going to change out the little rubber piece on my slide pins on the wife’s sl. Real pita to find that rubber btw. After I got everything back together I know I won’t sleep right knowing how tight that pin sets in the caliper. We’re driving her car to Rhode Island next week and I don’t need any issues. Luckily it still under warranty, although I’m sure a dealer would blame a caliper slide pins on wear and tear somehow.
