I bought a 2018 Nissan Rogue last week. Everything has been working fine on the main 7" monitor. Today I had a weird thing happen. I turned the car on and had Surius radio on the same channel I was listening to previously. However, the screen was on maps and frozen there. The touch screen was unresponsive. Touch screen options were grayed out. The physical buttons buttons did not work. The on/off button did not work (I did not try holding it down to reboot). I turned the car off when I got home and then turned it on again and all was fine. Drove again later and all was fine again.

Anyone experience this? Is it a problem? I searched and found some people in the past complain about some similar issues, but nothing recent.

Thanks for any input,

Mark

Hope that it goes bad quickly so you can get it replaced under warranty. If you can't replicate the problem, the dealer isn't going to do anything for you.

I had the screen flicker out a couple times on my 2013 with navigation when it was about a year old. Turning the vehicle off for a minute and then restarting cleared the issue. This happened twice, maybe three times at the most, all within a period of about a month. Thankfully, the problem has not reappeared since, but I'm well out of the bumper-to-bumper warranty period, so if it happens again, I'm on my own.

Had the same problem in my 2017.5 Murano. I recoreded it and showed it to the dealer but I could not replicate it for the dealer and they kept the car for an hour with no luck. They checked for any codes/errors and found nothing. After I turned the car off and restarted after 30 minutes the system was fine. Hasn’t happened since. I’m clueless as to what happened and so were they.

I also just got a new 2018 Rogue SL and noticed from day one that the whole head unit would restart when paired with a second Iphone via bluetooth. It has happened on multiple occasions (where you would have to completely re-pair the iphones) and only when iphone2 is paired. The head unit goes to reset. Nissan dealer is thinking of replacing the whole head unit which is only about 2 weeks old...just wondering if anyone out there is having an similar issue with their 2018's

thanks

Nissan may say that the HU is defective, which might be true, especially in Erogue18's case. As of the rest of you guys, it might be a software bug/glitch that might need to be updated.

Currently now there are no software updates for the HU.
