First time Nissan owner here. Picked up a 2018 Nissan Rogue SL Hybrid, had it almost a week but have a few questions.

1. I'm confused about the Intelligent Lane Intervention System. Is the Lane Keeping Warning System on all the time but if I want the Intervention System active I need to remember to press the button each time I get in the car? Seems like an unneeded extra step.

2. How do you update the built in maps? I don't see an SD card anywhere. The built in maps seem pretty old as they are missing the local Scuba shop that moved 2 years ago. (Yes I know I can use Waze/Google Maps) but still wondering.

3. I know the Blind stop indicators are supposed to beep when your turn-single is on and there is a car in your Blind spot. This was working when I got the car, now they just seem to blink with no notification noise.

4. Any way to get Waze in full screen when Android Auto is loaded. I lose a good inch and 1/2 because it puts the menu bar at the bottom. With the build in system it still has a menu bar but it makes it transparent so you can still see the map.

5. What would be the reasoning to use ECO or Sport mode on this car?

6. Is the Nissan Connect Service 6 months or 3 years free, seems to be some discrepancies online. Is XM Travel Link 3 years? ( I know the Music part is only 3 months).

Thanks in advance. So far I'm loving the Rogue, my only 2 beefs so far is I wish the Infotainment screen was 8 or 9 inches like most newer cars and I wish they would have put Pro-Pilot Assist on the Hybrid.

1. 2018 Nissan Rogue - Lane Departure Warning and Intelligent Lane Intervention Systems (ise)

2. Complimentary Map Updates
Driving with an outdated map can greatly affect your journey. Keep your navigation system up-to-date with map updates that can be made over the air via Wi-Fi or by using your computer and a USB drive. https://apps.nissan.navshop.com/en_us/

3. Nissan Rogue - Blind Spot Warning (BSW) (if so equipped)

4. Probably not. Did you try contacting Waze?

5. Use ECO or Sport mode on this car? Use the SEARCH feature and you'll get an idea of what others think of these features.

With possibly the exception of the questions covered under #6, your salesperson should have covered these as part of your new car delivery. If they didn't explain them adequately (or at all) they did not do their job properly.

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately the salesman did not go over some of this stuff. Also the Hybrid is slightly different. For instance with the LDW and ILI, there is no Assist option in the menu options like that video even though the Hybrid has ILI.

For the maps I figured out how to update it from the car as long as I'm connected to Wifi.

I think for the Blind Spot warning, I've determined if using android auto you don't get the audible beep.

On the Waze issue, its seems to be a big request on the Android Auto forums.

As for the ECO / Sport options. I understand what they do, but on the Hybrid, I would think they would work slightly different. For instance if I drive in ECO mode, EV turns off, so I'm guessing when using the Hybrid engine ECO is really effective so I'd be losing out on a major feature of my car.
