Looking to purchase a QX60 or an Acura MDX within the next year. Have been test driving a 2017 QX model as loaner as my EX35 is in the shop. Not the performance ride like the EX35 but very comfortable. Looking for a smooth and roomy ride to tour in retirement with a large Flat Coat retriever, so this is on the list. Power is fine with 295 hp and the cabin design is superior to the Acura, but the Acura is a much better performance vehicle but a bit smaller. However Infiniti is really behind with the Infotainment system. However the Acura infotainment system is too complex and bulky. Hopefully Infiniti will be upgrading the infotainment system including Android Auto or Apple Autoplay which would be a nice upgrade. Any thoughts on infotainment upgrades for 2018? Other question is what Infiniti will include in their 2018 standard package and how they will present their upgrade options. The current upgrades really force one to accept options you don't want, so hopefully this will change in 2018.

Also any other QX60 upgrade information would be appreciated.

Thank you in advance

So no insight from anyone on anticipated revisions to the Infiniti QX60 for the upcoming 2018 release?

Would be nice if they incorporated the Apple or Android car play but no idea if that is going to happen. Only insight I can provide is reliability has been solid. I've got a '13 JX bought in July '12 and no issues to date - 143K miles. Good luck.

Thanks everyone for your input. I had my 2008 EX35 Journey in at the dealership for 3 weeks to sort out an electrical issue which turned out ok. Have 125,000 miles and it still rides like a dream. However looking for a larger cross-over for the retirement road trip which includes a large flat-coat retriever. While the EX was in the shop I was driving a fully loaded 2017 QX60. Great quality, high end cabin interior, and good acceleration with the 290 hp engine. However I just couldn't get used to this large buggie. Either you are a truck guy or not. I owned a couple of Nissan Z's years ago and bought a Infiniti G35 which I drove before the dog arrived :). Traded it in the the EX35 which has the same platform as the G35 which satisfied my sports car desire. Looking for more room than the EX35 but still maintain a sporty ride. My Infiniti guy gave me a heads-up on the new QX50 cross-over as presented at the Detroit Auto Show. Very impressive concept design and looks to be about the same dimensions as the Lexus RX350. Some sources peg the base price at about $35k or about $10k less than the QX60. I guess this will remain to be seen, but hopefully it will be larger in size than the 2017 QX50 and come with more standard features. If anyone has any insight on the new 2018 QX50 design, please let us all know.
