Not sure of OP but I have OEM floor mats. They’re right where they’re supposed to be. They don’t hit the shaft.rabidus wrote: ↑Sun Mar 08, 2020 7:52 amIs your floor mat riding up to high and hitting the shaft? I have cheap floor mats in my 2011 Rogue that don't stay in place and hits the steering shaft coming through the car and it causes a noise when turning. I pull the mat back down and the noise is gone.
I’ve checked this assuming that maybe there’s a recall but I’ve gotten nothing. What does it need to take in order to get these common issues recalled?zukabaker wrote: ↑Sun Mar 08, 2020 9:31 amhttps://www.nhtsa.gov/recalls
Just enter your vin and any recalls or tsbs will show up.
I believe the steering shaft goes through the wall through a rubber boot, maybe that boot has dried out.Mennis1516 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 09, 2020 1:41 am

I think It might be better to use silicone lube on those bushings.Mennis1516 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 09, 2020 4:18 pmI’ve heard of putting WD-40 around the joints connecting the steering wheel shaft but I’ve not tried that myself. Anyone want to be the guinea pig?
