So, I just had the transmission Serviced on my mothers
2017 Rogue sport SL with 19" wheels.
This car has 34,000 miles on it.
The stealers inspection report said the brake pads needed to be replaced.
That both Lower control arms need to be replaced along with outter tie rod ends.

Did I mention the car has 34,000 miles on it. 2017..WTF..
So,
Can you guys tell me which brand of control arms. OTHER THAN OEM. are rated best!

I'm not spending $439 for each LCA I'm not!!
Lol.

I'll be installing myself,
After all, the Radiator fan also went out this week. And I had to do brake pads as well.

This car is babied and driven by a 75yr old woman. Pretty much to store and home.. Central Florida.

Just not sure which brand to go with.
Duralast, moog, doorman,Medov, etc

They're cast arms with no rocket-science, all the aftermarket stuff is pretty good. What goes is the rubber bushings and ball joint bellows, not the arms themselves. Exposed rubber of all kinds deteriorates over time, and in most cases the less you use it, the faster it oxidizes. While you're under there, hit all of it with WD40 and it will help restore some pliability. Except for trips the wife and I don't put much mileage on her '13, but I just replaced the very first rubber part (right inner CV boot) a month ago at 145K. It gets a WD rubber bath once a year. Unless I miss my guess, the bearings in mom's fan probably suffered the same fate, disuse and Florida humidity. Not every car that puts on 5K miles a year is a cream puff, and that's why.

It's a Rogue Sport (Qashqai). They're not as popular here as the Rogue and a lot of the parts are pricier because of it. List on the LCA's is about $400 each, and most dealers charge list+.

Thanks for your replies. My apologies for not saying so sooner, I didn't get a notification of responses..

No joke V6r. It's freaking crazy I tell ya..

But not as crazy as what happened yesterday with it..
I came to a Stop sign, I stopped ;)
And the the car DIDNT WANNA MOVE..
No movement, then it slowly drove.

I pulled into a gas station, as I needed to grab some gas I was at 1/4 tank..
I finish, put her in drive and Nada for a few seconds..
No warnings, no lights....
I'm thinking I better Trade her in while she's still rolling.
She's fully loaded, and yeah Creampuff if ya will.

Since no transmission dipstick, I'm kinda screwed, checking to see if the Dealer properly topped off the fluid when I had it serviced.

No sly eyes please. :)
Cause several years ago my MIL had an oil change, and well, They forgot to put oil back into the engine.....
She barely made it out of the dealership and got to traffic light b4 her motor siezed up...

Use the leveling plug to check the fluid. You'll need to get it up in the air in a level position, but it's a sure fire method. With the transmission warm and running you should get a moderate dribble coming out, a stream means it's overfull and nothing means it's low.

PS - A pair of jacks stands, a downhill slope to park on, rear wheel chocks, and a carpenter's bubble level make it pretty easy without needing a lift.

I can reach the leveling plug on my altimas and rogue on flat ground. It sucks at 51, but I can do it. I usually pull the car up on ramps to loosen the plug to make life easier. As far as control arms go, I used moog and within 3 yrs the rubber had rotted and ruined the ball joint on one side. I went with Napa this time and had a shop install them. That job without a lift is a major pita. I had to use a sledge and ratchet straps to get the dam things back in.
