2017 Rogue iPod connection

Hello,

I just bought the 2017 Rogue a couple of days ago and I noticed that when I plug in my iPhone each time to play music it asks me if I want to "Update Library" each time. I've been selecting no since I don't know what it does.

What happens if I select yes? I haven't found an answer anywhere yet.
