I brought a 2017 Rogue SL AWD Hybrid w/ Premium Package a week ago, I have forward emergency braking and blind spot warning only but the other Gas Rogue has it all like the lane departure warning, pedestrian warning/braking and intelligent cruise control. I look around my Rogue Hybrid and I saw that there is a Camera on the top of windshield behind the rare mirror and camera on the grill area, so why the Nissan did not include those extra safety features or maybe I need to download an app and update the Rogue software?

I got 36.9 mpg combine city/hwy on eco mode in this Rogue hybrid just incase you guys are wondering the actual mpg, and its soo quiet you will think that the car is not even on that's why I need the pedestrian braking cause people wont know I'm coming, but backing up this Rogue makes a biping sound like those delivery truck its kind of embarrassing.

I'd be interested to know what mileage you get after you run a couple of tanks of fuel through it and keep track of the mileage with pen and paper. My experience with those mpg computers is they are all off anywhere from 2-10 mpg.

Depending on where you are and how cold it it as the weather warms your mileage will increase.

Congratulations on the purchase.

Are you sure that those options that you mentioned are just not turned on? Using your setup menu between the gauges you should be able to turn them on and off there.

Comparing the specs between the SL and SL Hybrid, those options are all in the "SL Platinum Package" which is only available on the gas model and not the hybrid.

I'm not sure why they don't offer it on both models. But, it's specifically why I didn't get the hybrid. I wanted the Intelligent Cruise Control and do most driving on the highway where the hybrid difference isn't as much. It would have been nice though if the hybrid offered the Platinum and Platinum Reserve packages too, just unfortunate that it doesn't.

Everyting was turned on,in the menu I only have 2 the FEB and blind spot warning, kinda suck tho but why the put a camera on the top of windshield if its not functional, I hope they have some sort of upgrade.

They only thing that is annoying on the hybrid is the engine shuts off completly everytime I stop and re-start when the gas pedal is press.

Go for the 2018 Nissan Qashqai. Get the Pro Pilot option. Let us know how it all works.

I recently bought the same model. I think you'll find that the camera is functional, but only when parking to get the overhead "birds eye view".

Update on Gas mileage.

using eco mode driving city and highway on the system says 40.2 mpg highest I've got.
now using a calculator from miles divided by gallon 33 mpg.

Normal mode city/hwy on the system is 34 mpg and on calculator is 30 mpg

city/hwy Sport mode but not always cause it turns off when you shut off the vehicle, on the system is 30 mpg and on the calculator is 28 mpg.

This is in California the Hybrid rogue 3500 mile so far.... for me the mpg was better than my toyota yaris, so I don't realy feel bad if I don't get 60 mpg like the prius

As far as the FEB goes... As I posted in another thread here re: FEB - DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY - IT DOESN'T WORK AS ADVERTISED BY NISSAN!

We have the 2017.5 SL with all the upgrades (Premium / Platinum) and you are correct - THE FEB SYSTEM DOES NOT WORK AS ADVERTISED, OR PRESENTED IN THE MANUALS - which clearly show the vehicle warning you about 4 car lengths ahead of impact, gentle braking 3 car lengths ahead of impact and stopping you about 1/2 car length ahead of impact with the object in front of you.

There is no misunderstanding - it simply doesn't work as advertised and represented by Nissan.

This one is going to lead to some large class action suits!

Are you honestly so outraged/self absorbed/crazy that you felt the need to spam this across 6+ posts like a mental case...?

Advertisements from any company almost always simplify/over boast about how exactly/how well a system works. If you're so concerned go take your car and try to crash it. See what happens and accept the responsibility if an accident does occur. If you always take advertisements at face value and don't do research outside that you deserve all you get, and probably shouldn't be able to make purchases on your own with that lack of accountability.

Here's the IIHS testing: http://www.iihs.org/iihs/ratings/vehicle/v/nissan/rogue-4-door-suv
Showing the system completely avoids a crash from 12MPH, and reduces the impact speed from 25MPH to 2MPH in their more demanding test. Just because *you* think the system doesn't work/is faulty/isn't as advertised is pretty irrelevant when it *does* work, and there is independent testing done that can back those claims up.
