I have a 2017 Nissan Sentra that I named Sammy. Sammy has nearly 25000 miles on the odometer. So far not one problem. However after 20000 miles I had the CVT fluid changed to see how it compared to new fluid. I can tell you that after checking density and comparing the color of used oil to new oil I dont believe the fluid can hold out to 30000 miles much less 60000 miles as recommended. There I plan I will be changing CVT fluid every 20000 miles. :woot:

How did you come to that conclusion? I mean, it can't just be by looks.

Is there a filter involved in a CVT service? My Mercedes B200 had one and a change was recommended every 60,000 kms. I did and never had a issue now with 250,000 kms on it.

Machinery LOVES fresh oil indeed.
