Hello Everyone,

I have been having a horrendous time with my Murano. 3 months ago, I started to lose the radio, service would go in and out. I took it to Nissan and after I left the dealer, the problem continued and worse, yet I lost all cameras. I saw there was a recall for 2018's & 2019s for that exact issue. Of course, Nissan Canada took no responsibility as it was out of warranty. I took it to the dealer for the software fix and it did nothing. I am now told that the cost of replacement of the radio is $6000+ and $950 for the cameras. Has anyone heard of this issue? Do I have any options? I would appreciate any advice. Thank you!

I assume you have Around View since you say "cameras" plural. If so, the signal comes from an AVM Controller, the problem won't be the cams themselves. It sounds like your radio is just having a communications breakdown, in which case that's all you'll need to replace. There are plenty on eBay and I'd expect some on Kijiijii too, so get the part number off the top of the radio and use that for googling. It will be a 10-digit number starting with 25915- or 2591A-, look for an exact match. Try to get one with an SD card, the SD's on '16~'18 Muranos "mate" with the radio and it will save you buying a new one. You may need to visit the dealer to have the unit configured, but that will still be a helluva lot cheaper then $6K for a new one.
