I had my 2017 maxima transmission replaced at 105k with a reman from the shop. Ever since getting it back, first thing i noticed was I used to get around 500-520 miles per fill up and now I'm only getting 330-350 miles.
Next and the biggest issue is you can get up to 30-35mph and let off the gas as if you were slowing down and when it gets to 20-25mph it will randomly rev up about 500 rpms. You can get up to whatever speed you want, but once you let off the gas and it hits that 20-25mph zone, it will randomly rev up. I first noticed this when I would be approaching a stop sign or car in front of me and would go to apply the brake then out of nowhere it lunges the car forward slightly due to revving up. Throws off your timing when applying pressure to the brakes. Also, When you let off the gas once you get above 20-25mph it's like it holds a slight throttle until reaches back down to the 20-25mph zone then revs up and then the rpms will drop like normal to around 500. If when coming to a stop, I put it in neutral and coast to the stop sign, it will not rev up any. Only when it's in gear. It Also feels like it has an aggressive idle/ vibration when in gear because if you put it in neutral it goes away. Any thoughts.

Thanks,
Blake

Did they program the IP Chars for the new tranny into the TCM? I bet they didn't.

Hi, what are the Ip chars so I can ask the shop? Is it short for something?

It's the control information for the solenoids in the Valve Body, different for each VB. On a '17 there will be a QR sticker on top of the transmission Range Switch that has all the info, it needs to be scanned and loaded into the TCM. If the TCM is trying to run a new VB with IP's from the old VB, all kinds of screwy behavior can result.
