MEDIA ALERT: Nissan to feature trio of 2016 TITAN XD models, special announcement at 2015 SEMA Show
Upper South Hall Booth #30024 features 2016 Nissan TITAN XD, GT-R NISMO N-Attack Package, Cummins® project announcement, NISMO parts
Nissan returns to the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show in Las Vegas, the premier automotive specialty products trade event in the world, featuring all-new 2016 TITAN XD full-size pickup trucks, a track-tuned GT-R and more.
A trio of all-new 2016 Nissan TITAN XD models will be shown at the SEMA Show. In Nissan's booth will be two – a specially outfitted Genuine Nissan Official Accessories TITAN XD Platinum Reserve featuring key components from a new, 50-plus piece accessory lineup. The truck's integrated gooseneck hitch will be hooked up to a trailer carrying a unique Cummins® Project TITAN XD (to be revealed at a press conference on Nov. 3 at 4 p.m. PST).
The third 2016 Nissan TITAN XD is a project collaboration with SEMA, resulting from a record-breaking "measuring session" held in April. Based on a rugged PRO-4X model, the truck was delivered to SEMA headquarters in Diamond Bar, Calif. in September and has been undergoing extensive modification by SEMA and its members. It will be showcased in the SEMA display area in the Grand Lobby.
More than just a new model, the 2016 Nissan TITAN XD creates a "new class" of pickup that stakes out a unique position in the segment between traditional heavy-duty and light-duty entries. The bold new design combines the capability of a heavy-duty hauler with the drivability and affordability of a light-duty pickup – and is anchored by a powerful Cummins® 5.0L V8 Turbo Diesel rated at 310 horsepower and a hefty 555 lb-ft of torque. It is mated to a heavy-duty 6-speed Aisin automatic transmission.
