2016 Rogue sl hood lock

would like to know on the hood lock there is a plug with two wires what do those wires control

Likely a hood switch? Does it go in to the hood latch?

gos into the hood latch trying to make sure is a hood switch . want to hook up a remote start kill when hood is up, cant seen what its for when lookup part online at Nissan part sites

If you're getting it installed professionally, they should know what they're doing.

If you're doing it yourself, please study the FSM in detail and make sure you know what it's used for and what could happen if something were to go wrong. Factory warranty won't cover issues caused by an aftermarket remote starter install, hence why a professional may be advisable.

tks for the post I do have the remote starter installed but there no kill on it when hood is open I did not want to add a pin switch to it. I seen there are two wires plug into the hood lock was wondering what they did if I could use them on the remote starter if hood was open is would stop car from running . cant seam to find any info on those wires on switch
