Do you honestly think Nissan would spend extra money on creating different a wiring harness for each trim line (S,SV & SL)? They make one harness because it makes economic sense, so the wiring will be there.ImStricken06 wrote:not all cars are prewired. remove the bumper or get behind it somehow and see if there are plugs there. odds are there are none.

Coming from a fully loaded Altima SE it's a bit of a change... Not even having fog lights, it's a bit of a downgrade but being my old Altima was 11 years old it's still nice with standard features being quite nice nowadays. My question is this. I did some searching to actually add fog lights and I was of course directed to ebay and saw some kits there, some much cheaper looking and some OEM kits with new light stalks and all for a reasonable price, same price as courtesyparts.com so not bad considering you get the stalk and everything but I'm curious if any other base model owners have added any, where they got them? Price? Is there a better aftermarket solution than OEM? Also I noticed these factory Nissan parts don't come with wiring is it there just not hooked up? Also what else has anyone upgraded the base that didn't come with it from the factory? Thanks in advance ladies and gents!

I had assumed that being most cars have one harness, and like you stated the extra wiring taped out of the way, just looking to see if there was real world experience. Thanks for the help!FantomLightning wrote:To answer the question about wiring. If this is like the first gen Rogue as well as most other Nissans, and lots of other Jap cars, everything should be prewired. Just swap the stalk, connect the fog lamps to the wiring (normally taped up somewhere out of the way), and mount them.
