I have a 2016 Rogue that has 3,000 miles on it. It's just started with a random squeaking noise inside. It's driving me crazy.
Happens more when the car is cold. Seems to be when you hit a bump a certain way with the right side tires and never under 40 mph. It's hard to get it to do it all the time. Had it at the dealership yesterday. Tech rode with me and said he only heard it twice. Granted, most of the roads near the dealership are in good shape or newly paved. So - I'm on a mission to find this myself. Anybody have any ideas? (We checked the seats, spare tire, roof rack) TIA!

Do you use emergency brake? Or irregular brake draging. Look at your rotors for smooth shine.

I had that problem a month ago and now my right rear rotors look like swirl cheesecake. My caliper froze overnight from car wash in -15 degree temp. Crazy weather in Sask. +5 degree in afternoon and -20 degree overnight.

This happened to me when I bought the rogue new in 2014. The following winter (2014-2015) that squeeking sound showed up so I brought it to the dealer and it took 5 visits to decide to replace the front suspension and "links" and the noise was gone but the weather was getting warmer when they fixed it. I noticed the noise is back this year and yes when its cold out it seems louder. I changed dealer since then so I will bring it up soon before spring arrives.

I have the same thing but haven't brought it in. Only happens when going over certain bumps (usually bumps that are not "sharp" but give the car a good bounce).

DH says the rotors all look perfect.

Good luck when you bring it in. They seemed very uninterested with mine .

The squeaking sound sounds like it's coming from inside the car on mine. Possibly something in the spare tire area is loose, or the lift gate is somehow loose. I'm still not sure if I'm going to bother the dealership about it.

The car has been louder over the bumps since the fuel pump was replaced. The back seats rattle. They're bolted down tight though so I'm not sure why.

I know my moon roof squeeked when the cover was open and they replaced a piece of the frame which solved that problem.

My husband thinks it might be the panoramic roof. I will make another appointment to drop it off again soon. Not looking forward to it though......

You do need to leave the vehicule there for most of the day but it is covered by the warranty.

:wavey: I found the source of the squeak /creak!
It's the panoramic roof rail (I guess that's what you would call it.)
If I push down on the inside of the track on the back left inside the car it stops. Any idea what I should do to fix it?

Just got it fixed {I hope}. They said there were two screws loose in the track of the panoramic roof. Drove it home and didn't hear the noise once.

Something to try. Have the dealer show you which screws they tightened to eliminate the squeak. Then once you know where they are make sure to keep them tight. I don't have a pano in my car but I would imagine there are more than two screws up there, make sure they are all tight no matter how many there are. Carry a small screwdriver in the glove box if necessary.

If you find that they won't stay tight, go to Walmart in the automotive section and get a tube of blue Loctite. Make sure it says BLUE on the tube you do not want the RED stuff. When it comes out of the tube it will be blue in color. Then remove each offending screw and put a tiny, very tiny drop on the screw and put the screw back in and tighten it down. Do not get carried away with putting a large dab on the screw, just a tiny bit on one side will do nicely. That will keep the screws from loosening if that's what they are doing.

The RED stuff is for serious heavy duty fasteners, if you ever need to take the bolt, screw or nut loose you'll have to have a torch to get it hot enough to melt the Loctite. Make sure you don't use any red stuff.
