Hi All,
We have a 2016 Nissan Rogue which recently started reporting the outside temperature as -40 (actual outside temp is 70F) along with a cold weather warning whenever we turn on the vehicle. As soon as it started incorrectly reporting the outside temperature, the A/C essentially stopped working. Even if we set it all the way down to 60F, it barely blows air out of the vents. I've located the sensor in the front of the car near the radiator and removed it, but even with the sensor removed it reports -40. I'm guessing this means a short somewhere else in the cable. The question is, where does the other end of the cable terminate? The two wires from the temperature sensor go into a wrapped bundle and then into a hole which I can't seem to trace. Does anyone know how I might further troubleshoot this issue?
Thank you!
