Hi, I just purchased a 2016 Nissan Rogue w/ AWD about 2 weeks ago. Yesterday, I was driving up an icy road to a ski resort, and the AWD just stopped functioning. I received messages that said "AWD Error - See Owner's Manual" and "Chassis Control Error - See Owner's Manual". Various warning lights also appeared - the 'slippery conditions' (or whatever it's called) light, the general triangular warning light, and the ABS light. The AWD definitely did stop functioning: it was slipping more and the graphical indicator showed no power going to the rear wheels. I had to turn back around and head to the dealership.
When I brought it to the dealership, they said that they had not seen this problem before and it sounded to me like, basically, the tech had cleaned off some sensor that controls the AWD. This doesn't sound like a permanent solution to me, and I'm now very concerned about the AWD just quitting again in the future. One of the specific reasons I got this car was because it had AWD, so if this feature is problematic, it's useless to me. Has anyone seen this issue before?
Thanks.
