2016 Infiniti Entertainment System: Apps

My system is five pages long, and the first two are empty. Are apps supported in any way still? Is it worth messing with? I'm not really sure how it all works but I was told that it's sort of an abandoned technology that never took off. Is any of it useful? Thanks!

I came here to look and see if I needed to respond with "it's pretty much abandoned technology that never took off."

I always meant to see if I could find a way to root the OS on InTouch so I could load whatever I wanted, but I lost motivated and ended up trading my Q50 for my truck.
