I have a legitimate reason that I need to disable the DRLs on a 2016 Altima. When I put the parking brake on when I start the car they stay off, but once I release the brake they come on. I understand that if I ground the parking brake switch the DRL module will think that the brake is on all the time and leave the DRLs off, but I want to make sure I have the correct wire. I've found a few posts but none specifically addressing the 2016 Altima. Can someone let me know which wire I should ground, and where to find it (engine compartment, driver's side floorboard, etc) please...

I thought about just unplugging the driving lights, and I'll do that if necessary, but I'd prefer to keep them working.

Thanks
Steve

From what I understand, you're trying to decide between bypassing a switch that is tucked under a trim piece with wires or unplugging your daytime running lights. Both make your DRL's not turn on, so I don't know what you mean by 'keep them working', because they won't work... until you plug them back in or remove your wire bypass/ ground thing. Because they are similar, I recommend unplugging the lights. It's easier to plug them back in than it is to take trim on and off and change custom wiring. It's also easier to figure out if the car gets into someone elses hands and you forget to disclose your hidden wires.
