I actually think the lines look decent...

...until you get to the front end. That's a massive front grill, and some weird fog lights.

It's not bad looking (grille aside) in the details.

However, the problem with the 7th gen Camry remains:
It is a midsize car proportioned like a compact. It has almost no rear deck, and the cab is shifted so far rearward it's almost like a 2nd gen Intrepid driving backward. And being afflicted by the modern contagion tallus greenhouseus extremis exaggerates the bad 3-box proportions in a very unpleasant way. The 2015 facelift's more rounded roofline helps with this a little (at the cost of even more rear deck shrinkage).

But, at the end of the day, it looks like overweight and inflated, like a blown-up photocopy of a Corolla.

Holy crap that thing looks tall. Looks as tall as a Ford Taurus, which easily rivals the roofline of most mid-2000 SUVs.

It's just a boring car with an angry front end. Same with the old Camry. Same with the Corolla.

It looks like garbage.

Also, "fleet" or "family" design is a stupid idea. Each model should have its own styling based on its own specific market.

Here's an example of Ctrl +C, Ctrl +V manufacturer "family" design:

The Camry is very hard to love just like all of it's predecessors, every single one. What makes it hard for me to hate this one is the interior, I really do like what they've done inside with materials and lines. However it is still a massive corolla from the outside, I don't see what any of you see in it (matter of opinion), to me it's still the soulless, boring, family sedan for the anti-enthusiast, trumped only by the green w/ beige cloth interior 2.5S Altima sedan (my mom used to have one, it was painful)

So you enlarge a corolla and get a Camry. What happens when you shrink a Corolla? You get a new euro model Yaris, I presume.

I'm going to need new glasses soon to correct the eye damage all these ugly new Toyotas are causing.

Agreed. Its hard to tell a new Rogue from a new Pathfinder and the Versa, Sentra, Altima, and Maxima could be replaced with a single model (Versentrimax?) since they're all so similar.
