I have a 2015 Rouge Select that did not have cruise (or the switch). I got an OEM switch and installed it. It plugged in, etc., and even lights up when the head lights are turned on, but pressing the on switch does nothing. How do I let the Rouge know the switch is there so that I can start using cruise control? Do I need to get it programmed? I also heard something about Nissan put a resistor jumper on the pin of the plug to the ECM. The ecm works on a voltage level so the resistor would fake it to the OFF always, & if you added the switches, it still wouldn't work because the resistor would change the ON level to the ECM. What should I do?
