I just received some TPMS sensors from Amazon. Got them for free so I didn't argue. It is listed on the box that they should fit my 2015 Rogue SL. On the sensors themselves it says that they are on 433 Mhz band (I think that's the frequency I read. They are not in front of me right now). I'm looking to put these on my dedicated snow tires/wheels which have never had TPMS sensors installed. I just let the dash light flash and then go steady (all winter long).

I read a few threads about re-learning and also about the cloning of sensors, and all it left me was confused!!!
I'm going to ask the local Sam's Club to take out the "dumb" valves and put these TPMS valves in instead.

My questions are;

Does 433 MHz. sound about right for the 2015 Rogue?

Do the techs at Sam's need to do anything in particular to get my vehicle to recognize these? I'm guessing they do. If so, what do they need to do? Is it a simple thing, or complicated?

Is this a job where a specific tool is needed to program the sensors to the vehicle, and is it a widely held tool for a place such as Sam's Club? If a typical Sam's is not equipped to handle the programming, would a typical Nissan dealership do the work, or would they give me grief as these are not official Nissan specified products?

Thoughts?

Thanks in advance!

Andy

The 433MHz frequency is right for a gen2 Rogue. If they're universal sensors then they may need to be configured as part of the activation protocol, then registered to the car. if they're OE then they just need to be activated and registered. Sam's (or any other decent tire shop) should have equipment to handle either one.
