2015 Rogue Intermittent Security Light is on

Hi all, I have been facing an issue where the Security Light (Red silhouette car with key inside) is intermittently on on my 2015 Rogue. Knock on wood it has not affected whether I can start the car or drive it but I am still worried about it. Seems to come on every other day. I have tried unplugging the battery to reset but does not fix. Has anyone else experienced this and is there a fix? Thanks

It means it isn't reading the key. If it's an I-key it could just be a low battery, if it's a chip key or lollipop then it could be a dying key or a dying IMMU. Get the BCM codes read with a high-end scanner, there should be codes to clue you to what's going on.

I have an I-key and have changed the batteries and tried the second key with same results. But if car is not reading the key correctly why does it allow me to start up the car? One other thing I have noticed is that when I unlocked the car sometimes I hear the beep sound and sometimes I dont. Not sure if related to issue or not. I will try to get a shop to ready the codes. Thanks
