I just started having this problem in the last few weeks. When you press the Voice button and instruct to 'call Jane Doe' it dials a completely different contact. Granted, I have an older phone, Galaxy S4, but this is a new issue. Anyone else having it?

This was a problem with iPhones back around iOS 7 or so. We never really came up with a firm solution, but the shotgun approach was:

1) Power phone off and back on.
2) unpair all phones and pair only the one phone.
3) tether with a USB cable and re-load the phonebook.

My phone (iOS 10.2 now), still occasionally does this. Even if I tell it to "call Jane Doe" it will call the name immediately before or immediately after in the phone book. The way I fix it is with a setting within the Rogue infotainment. In the phone book settings, there is a "Last Name, First Name" button. If you click it it will switch all the names to "First Name, Last Name" (or vice versa). If you click it again it will switch back to what you had originally. For some reason doing this always fixes the that problem for me.

My 2015 Rogue does the same thing periodically. My phone is a Samsung Galaxy 5. My dealership was unable to provide a solution. What I have found works, is to change the selection between using the phonebook on the SIM card (which my carrier doesn't even use) or from the phone, and then return it to the original selection. :wtf2: This seems to fix things for a few months.

Press the APPS button.
Touch the “Settings” key.
Touch the “Phone & Bluetooth” key.
Touch the “Phone Settings” key and adjust the following settings as desired:
Use Phonebook From: Touch “Handset” to use the phone’s phonebook.
Select “SIM” to use the phonebook on the SIM card. Select “Both” to use both sources

Unfortunately, I sent a number of texts to the wrong person before I first realized I had a problem.

All in all, Nissan's dashboard interface, especially the navigation program, are absolutely horrible.

Toyotaman, You are absolutely right ! NISSAN is really horrible for as onboard software. They never see as to correct the bugs in the head unit.

My 1st and LAST NISSAN !

Same here, Outotlearn88. First and last Nissan. Today, I found some sort of guard on the back of the muffler has either rusted off on one side or has a defective weld. I guess the garage parking and that 15,100 miles I have put on it are just too much of a strain!

But, the camera system is kinda cool. I do like being able to see exactly where I am sitting within my parking space!

I can confirm that sorting the phone book in settings resolves this issue. It happens once in awhile , my dealer also has no explanation.

This was perfect! Thanks!
Nothing else I tried worked. I came across your post and it was easy peasy. Simple and effective. Thanks again!
