My 2015 Rogue does the same thing periodically. My phone is a Samsung Galaxy 5. My dealership was unable to provide a solution. What I have found works, is to change the selection between using the phonebook on the SIM card (which my carrier doesn't even use) or from the phone, and then return it to the original selection.

This seems to fix things for a few months.
Press the APPS button.
Touch the “Settings” key.
Touch the “Phone & Bluetooth” key.
Touch the “Phone Settings” key and adjust the following settings as desired:
Use Phonebook From: Touch “Handset” to use the phone’s phonebook.
Select “SIM” to use the phonebook on the SIM card. Select “Both” to use both sources
Unfortunately, I sent a number of texts to the wrong person before I first realized I had a problem.
All in all, Nissan's dashboard interface, especially the navigation program, are absolutely horrible.
