Soldered is generally not welcome in high current situations . Unless you are able to TIGHTLY pre-wrap around a thru-hole , or , soldering on top of crimping , the developed heat + high ambient heat can melt the solder . So solder must be a very ' secondary ' or insurance , and NOT the primary electrical mating method !
And soldering on top of a crimp at / near the battery can help to vastly reduce acidic absorption into battery strands which = " SLOW DEATH " to battery cables .Key word ' corroded strands ' will get you stranded , without a roll!
