Going to the 3.7 engine was way overdue in the states since there is no mileage penalty for the 10% gain in HP. I have a 2011 AWD with the 3.5 and it is rated the same 17/24 that the 3.7 gets. I don't see any benefit to the consumer in going back to the 3.5, unless going hybrid, which isn't offered for the QX50 yet.GarnetRedQX50 wrote:I read an article talking about the 2015 QX50 going back to the 3.5L , 297-hp engine for better gas mileage purposes. Do you all know if this is true? It's all good, just interesting to hear about a car maker reverting back to a previously-used engine.
