Hi All!

I’m brand new to the forums been looking for a good Nissan Quest community trying to do some work myself and wanted to join a community. I work on my 2001 F-150 all the time but this is a whole different beast. So to cut to the chase, my quest has been idling rough for weeks but nothing crazy just a little off. Last night sitting at a Popeyes drive through it almost stalled 300ish RPM engine shaking. Both my check engine light and traction control lights came on at the same time, very strange right? I’m thinking vac leak or maybe idle air control is faulty. I have an OBD2 code reader on the way from amazon so I’ll have more info but wanted to see if this community had experienced anything like this on their 2015 quests. Only has 50k miles regular maintenance. I noticed a vaccine hose zip tied top right of engine but not connected to anything not sure if that’s ok or not either haven’t managed to find a suitable diagram of hoses to help figure that one out. Thanks a lot
Folks appreciate all advice!

So doing some testing battery looks good, 12.65 volts dips to 10.5 during start then 14 during running. Attaching a picture of the start hose not attached to anything not sure if this is supposed to be ok?

Looks like it’s the MAF, doesn’t look to hard to replace kind of hard to reach, hopefully I can find a vid on how to get to it.

I have a 2015 Quest. Had the same problem. Started running bad, OH CRAP light came on. Pulled out the OBDll. Had same reading being posted. Took out Intake air tube runs along top of radiator. Took out the air filter box. Removed the section holding the Mass air flow sensor. I removed the air flow sensor. Cleaned it with airflow sensor cleaner $3.50 walmart and Q tips. Turned off dash light
with my OBDll. Worked for about a year. Did it again. Lasted about another 6 months. 3rd cleaning didn't work. Had to replace it for about $90 from ebay. The fact that they sell this cleaner, it's important to keep it clean.

There's a bulletin for P0101 on the '15~'16 Quest, NTB16-016. Repro for the ECM. If your scanner can pull the part number from the ECM, the applicable p/n's are 43710-4AY0A, 43710-6AX0A. It's for the P0101 with no driveability issues, but since you're having some minor ones, a good MAF cleaning is probably in order before the reprogram.
