Will the sport brakes in the Performance Tire and Wheel Package fit with 18" OEM wheels?

I highly doubt it but can't say for sure.

Note, however, that the spare tire for the Performance Tire and Wheel package version of the car is a 18" rim (stock is 17") ... otoh, this is also not a wide wheel, so may have clearance issues for a normal 18" wheel.

Best thing to do is find a friendly dealer and give it a try on the wheels they have there.

Question though: Why would you want to switch to the OEM 18" wheels if you have the Performance Tire and Wheel Package? The 20" wheel is very nice looking!

Thanks for the replies.

A service guy at my local dealer believes the brakes will fit.

The 20 inch does look good. I'm not sure about the firmness of the ride and the 18 (with taller sidewall tires) ought to be softer.

Haha awesome question, I was about to post a thread about it. So has anyone been able to confirm if it will yet? Concept Z has a template that you can print out and cut to test. I tried to do it yesterday but I'm sure I did it wrong. It seems like the wheels will barely clear the front Akebono calipers. I'm think 3mm - 5mm spacers will allow proper clearance. Anyways I've attached the pdf of the template if someone wants to try it and have better luck that I have:

I tried my original 18" wheels over Akebonos, they fit with a 20 mm spacer. You don't need that big of a spacer, but thats what I have. Not sure if the 2015 design is similar though...

I would much rather sell the OEM 20" wheels and buy after-market 18" (with the correct offset to fit) than install spacers of any kind! :yesnod

If I was going to reduce the size of the wheel in the first place, that is!

They're identical to the 370Z brakes and the Z guys run 18s on their cars when downsizing from the sport 19s. You just have to make sure you run the correct offset to clear the caliper.

Hey Altered did you try to mount your 18" OEM wheels without the spacers to see if it would clear the front Akebono calipers on its own?

I asked about the swap to OEM 18s at two local dealers and both said it couldn't be done. One specifically mentioned clearance problems. Neither mentioned the option of spacers, but that's probably outside any warranty they'd be willing to honor.

Yes I did initially try the Akebono's without spacers, I was curious. Mine do not fit, the calipers hit the back of the spokes.

I used that template listed above and it looks very close. I am thinking a 3 or 5mm spacer in the front would give it proper clearance.
