Anyone do this yet?

I have a loaner 2015 Q70 AWD (not S from what I gather) and it has nice calipers with "Infiniti" printed on them. Anyone know if these can be used on the older Y51's?

Can you take a pic? Seems like the S model breaks but would like to verify to make sure. Do they look like these? Image

Yes, they look like that. The car has no S badge on the back. So those aren't just standard calipers on the 2015's? I'll try to get a pic tomorrow.

Does the loaner have the sport 20's? You can upgrade the car to the sport wheels and brakes without having the entire sport package. I'm guessing that was the case with your loaner.

Thought so. Then yeah they're definitely the sport calipers.

Do the backing plates need to be changed as well? I bought pads, calipers, pins and rotors, what else do I need?

I think I read somewhere that the dust shields need to be trimmed to fit the larger rotors. Everything else is direct bolt-on.

Nice. If I don't go with an Akebono BBK in the future, I might opt for this as I assume it's a bit cheaper.

There is no S badge on the back of the car. Just Q70 and AWD. Or do they not put an S designation on the new Q's anymore?

They did on mine, granted mine is a 14.

Like I said I'm fairly certain your loaner is a standard 70 just with the sport wheels and brakes added. Look at the headlights, are they chrome or black? Are there paddles shifters inside? Is there a front lip spoiler? Those are other indicators for whether or not it's a sport vs. Non sport.

Nope, none sport. But the car does feel more nimble and willing to turn than my car.

I highly doubt this would fit as the Y51 (2011+) is a different platform from the Y50 (2006-2010).

That is incorrect, the Akebonos fit the Y50 as well. These calipers are no different than the ones people have install led on the 50's.
