Our 2015 Nissan Murano Platinum is just 4 days old and we love all aspects of the vehicle except for the audio system.

So far, we have randomly experienced every day at least one occurrence of where the audio would stop playing and the touch screen would freeze. On some occasions, after a few seconds, you can touch the screen and change the source but no audio. The only way we can get music back is to stop the vehicle and restart.

Called the dealership and they know nothing about this issue. Seems very similar to what's happening with the Nissan Rogues but the units are different (I think).

Has anyone else experienced this with their 2015 Nissan Murano?

Could be a bad audio/infotainment unit from the supplier. Did the dealership offer to swap it out for you?

Got nothing of that on my SV 2015... Music works perfectly! Maybe because i have a 36l/100km consommation problem :p... Yup looks like every 2015 murano has a little hidden vice!

If i were you, i would go to nissan and ask for a replacement of the sound system right away, insisting on the fact that it is unadmissible you paid around 50k for a (luxury) car, and that you have to come back for a problem few days after your purchase...

I just posted about a problem I have with the screen on my '15 Murano. It's similar to yours but goes another step and keeps changing screen display modes. I posted a video in my post. It's an intermittent problem so difficult to troubleshoot. It started a couple months after I bought my Murano Platinum. The technicians at my dealership are looking into it. No answer after they've had my car for 3 days. I'm searching for anyone who has resolved the issue.

Same here. Just purchased a used 15 MO platinum and the next day radio was possessed, switching back and forth through all options on its own. Even turned off then back on again on its own. Made appt with dealership and by the time I got it to them a week later, it stopped doing it. It's been a month and it hasn't come back. Dealership said they can't troubleshoot it if it's not acting up as they have to show the Nissan tech a vid of what's happening. They said bring it in no appt necessary if it does it again. I guess I'll see.

There's a program update for the '15 navis depending on your program version. Bulletin is NTB16-093. Use the menu to check Info -> Navigation Version. Here's the applicability data from the bulletin:

For vehicles with Unit code QY80-**NA, QY80-**NB, or QY80-**NC:
 A software update is needed if the Program Version is not 143.
For vehicles with Unit code QY81-**NA or QY81-**NB:
 A software update is needed if the Program Version is not 143.
For vehicles with Unit code QY84-**NA or QY84-**NB:
 A software update is needed if the Program Version is not 564.
For vehicles with Unit code QY84-**NC:
 A software update is not needed.

If it needs an update, the dealer has an SD card for it. Takes about 30 minutes plus some screwing around to reset the radio and make sure the repro took, so they shouldn't charge more than an hour.

So I just about spewed coffee out my nose when I read this

https://automotive.bose.com/vehicles/nissan/murano

Does anyone know what TYPE of speakers are in each area? Luike, are the A pillar speakers strictly one type (tweeters or horns or whatever) and the corner dash ones midst and the doors woofers with the two subs rounding it out? What is the center speaker? Not a 'center channel' like in a home system, so just another smaller mid? Woofer? &%@&$%%@ i know enough to be dangerous and if I'm going to replace them all I'm thinking going component is the best way to do it, no?
