Hello,

i want to change the bulb of the room light for a LED. Does anyone know how to remove the lens cover from the lamp assembly?? mine is an SL without sunroof.

Also if some has the bulb type.

I believe you just pry the lens out. To prevent damage to the lens & housing use a plastic pry tool. I will place a link to what LED panel you can use. Here is the link

You can use this for maximum illumination. I have this on my Rogue.

That post will tell you which bulbs and where to find them locally. Keep in mind it will be whiter than the front LEDs. The front LEDs have a more yellow color temperature. Personally, I want to change my front ones now but am not sure how.

Anyway, the best way is jus to pry the whole assembly away from the roof liner. Trying to separate the lens is really hard and could crack it. Carefully using a flat screw driver pry away the whole assembly from the roof liner and access the bulb through the top. I recommend you disconnect the assembly from the car to prevent shock as these are some tiny bulbs and easy to short with large fingers.
