Bought my 2014 SV AWD in February, ~2500 miles on it. This past Saturday the windshield wipers stopped working. Was running errands around town and they were fully functional when I first got in the car. After my first stop they would not turn on - and of course it was raining. Rear wipers were working fine though - not a lot of fun to drive in a downpour without wipers. I called the dealership who assumed a fuse had blown and said to bring it in at my earliest convenience. Couldn't make it in before today, however the wipers started working again on Sunday (I thought I'd give them a try even though it wasn't raining anymore.)

Has anyone else had this problem? Dealership can't replicate the problem since they are still working today. Concerned this is going to happen again and not looking forward to another drive in the rain without the ability to clean my windshield. Any advice is appreciated!

Could be just a loose connection, most likely in the stalk. Another possibility would be a defective wiper motor.

did you run them fast, or steady even though the windshield was pretty dry? i see a few people like that: its hardly drizzling, and they have their wipers on steady/fast - as if its pouring.
that will cause them to overheat.

Nope, I started the car and pushed the lever up for a quick swipe of the windshield and nothing happened. Then turned it to the intermittent position, nothing happened. Then pulled on it to spray some fluid, which worked but the wipers still wouldn't move. Tried all settings without success though then did notice the rear wipers working fine.

I had two more stops to make that day before heading home so my car was turned off for a good amount of time each time. Still the wipers wouldn't work for the rest of the day. Didn't do anything unusual that night, and the next day they suddenly were (and still are) back to normal.

head over to the dealer and demand action. tell them it happened as you were driving and almost crashed. put that on the record.

It is there right now and I got the call that the technician wasn't able to replicate the problem. Not sure how to proceed at this point - I'm very frustrated to say the least, especially since this is a safety issue...

In addition to this I also have had problems with the touch screen (I have the SV Premium package) rebooting on a daily basis. They couldn't replicate that problem either, nor is there a log of it in the computer.
