The tire pressure warning popped up when starting the Rogue about a month ago. The tires were overpressure, so I let some air out until it was at 33psi. Usually the warning goes away after a cycle or two through starting the car. This time the warning is staying on. I checked the tires with a gauge and the pressure is good. Is there a bad sensor now or is there secret way to get this warning to turn off?

If it's blinking about 20 times before it goes on solid then there's a problem in the system that isn't related to pressure, i.e., low battery in a sensor, dead transmitter, etc. If it comes on solid with the ignition and you know the pressures are good, then one of the sensors is mis-indicating. Put the pressures up in your cluster display, if they all look accurate then chances are one of the sensors is indicating low battery but hasn't died yet. If one or more are missing then you probably have dead ones. Keep in mind that If your tires get rotated routinely, you can't necessarily trust the positions front-to-back. Lube techs in most places don't reprogram the sensors when they rotate. If the display does show a dead sensor, confirm the position by changing the pressure in that tire. If the change shows up in the wrong position, you know that back is front and front is back.
