2014 Rogue - RPM Dependent Rattle

Hi there,

Trying to diagnose my fiancee's '14 Rogue. She has a rattling noise coming from the engine that is RPM dependent. Sometimes it's there, (even at idle), other times it's not. When it's there at idle, if you rev it the noise gets louder.. Also happens under load, but not 100% of the time.

I am obviously thinking something on the accessory belt, but just wondering if the forum here had any input onto common issues before I bring it into my garage to investigate further. Just haven't had the time yet so hoping others have experienced something like this. 41K on the engine.

I'm not a betting man, but 99 out of 100 times when someone posts about "a rattling noise" it's the heat shield.

Agreed, but it could be that 1%.. we just never know that it could be the 1%, as we know its going to be 99% heat shield.

Ah okay great. Did find that a few times in search. I'll dig around and see if I can find what people have done to address it/confirm that's the issue. Thanks!!
