So Nissan has their new website up for the 2014 Rogue (Which is amazing by the way).

They have a special listed on the website right now for special intro pricing and a $250 gift card:
http://www.nissanusa.com/crossovers/2014-rogue/

No money down and no commitment.. so if you decide to get one, you benefit, if you don't.. no problem. Might be a good idea to sign up.

Here's the fine print:
Program Details: Reserving an all-new Rogue has never been easier. Just configure your Rogue, or contact a Nissan Representative. If you submit a reservation by November 12, and purchase the vehicle by March 31, 2014, you are eligible to receive special introductory pricing and a $250 cash gift card.

No money needs to be put down. There is no commitment. It’s your decision to move forward with the reservation, or to discontinue the process entirely, at any time.

Special Introductory Pricing: All prices are Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). MSRP excludes destination and handling charges, tax, title, license and options. Retailer sets actual price.

Introductory MSRP guaranteed through November 12, 2013 for those who submit a request on this website on or before November 12, 2013, purchase and take delivery of Nissan Rogue before March 31, 2014.

Special Offer Details: Submit a Dealer request and purchase a Rogue through this site and receive $250 Cash Card*.

We appreciate your interest in the Nissan Rogue and want to extend a special offer to you. Should you reserve your all-new 2014 Rogue on or before November 12, 2013, purchase and take delivery of the vehicle by March 31, 2014, and submit a request by May 1, 2014, you will be eligible to receive a $250 Cash Card*

Once you submit your Dealer request, a Nissan Representative will contact you to offer assistance with the next steps in your Rogue Reservation. Or if you have questions, please call 800-335-3734, Monday through Friday between the hours of 9am and 8pm, Eastern time, and from 10am to 4pm on Saturdays. And you can chat with us by clicking "Live Chat" in the Reserve.

Yes, I got linked to that site and walked through the program. I thought it was great, until I realized it is Nissan USA! Our prices might be 20% higher including taxes:(

I wonder what would happen if you just did it anyway (I'm assuming you're in Canada). They say a representative will contact you. Might as well try it if you want a new rogue.

I "reserved" mine last night. Received a call from the selected local dealer this afternoon (same place the wife and I bought our 2014 Note). Told them I would be very interested in test driving it the moment they get inventory.

"I'm not sure that the 2014 model has had any significant changes. I don't see anything in our system"

:wtf2:

It's not on their lot, not in their inventory, and the sales people haven't "gone to school" for it yet. So they don't know crap about it. When they're actually trying to sell the 2014s, they'll know all about them. Car dealerships tend to live in the now more than most average businesses.

I'd kindly ask for the number for another dealership.

...or you could be a d!ck about it and say "Well Nissan certainly seems to think so, so you might want to look into that!"

It just always seems strange that car salespersons seem to be the least knowledgeable of all the salespersons I ever interact with. In the system or not, Nissan's second best selling car in North America has an announced redesign with prices and plenty of details (presumably hitting showrooms in a little over a month), you'd think one might take a slight interest....it pays the bills after all.

It was the same deal when we bought our Versa Note SL. It had been out for at least a month and yet the salesman (who was very nice otherwise) had no ability to answer any questions I had about the car. This despite the fact that the Versa Hatch was the biggest seller in it's segment for the last few years...that seems like plenty of incentive to know something about the new model.

Same here, I told them that I had been waiting on the Hi-Cross for a year. The 20 year Nissan sales vet and former manager said that they just saw it yesterday. They can obviously do a way better job in client retention. Instead of old school sales machinery / brick and mortar.

Yeah, there's a reason Nissan dealerships are not rated very highly at all.

The only dealerships I've ever been to that have been worse are Chrysler/dodge.

Seriously, make a big deal out of it. Be astonished in front of them. Mention it would behoove them to know upcoming products BEFORE the general public so they can offer informed answers.

I'm curious whether anyone actually got the "special introductory pricing." I'm not sure how to quantify that--but it should be less than the pricing for everyone else, right? My dealer doesn't seem to have any idea what it is.

All the "special pricing" is, is a supposedly slightly lower MSRP. If you're paying MSRP you're doing it wrong.

Yep. I actually got under INVOICE by using TrueCar.com.

I bought a Nissan Rogue 2014 SV with family option (3rd row) + splash guards + Wheels Locks for a drive out price of $25,350 in Houston TX. Is that a good price? I know nothing can change now, but just want to see how I did.

I received mine also a couple of days ago. Pretty cool, I think I will keep the card when it is out of $$.

I wasn't sure if I was going to get one or not. My original reservation was from one dealer.... and they did not do much to help out. Initial contact and that was it. I had to contact them a couple of times to ask about things. The guy kept telling me that I was like #6 in line to drive one. Anyway I finally checked with a couple other dealers, and the one I ended up purchasing from called me as soon as they got one in. I got there and it still had plastic on the seats. Anyway I ended up purchasing a different one a few days later from them. When I asked about it, they said they would have to get back to me. The did a week later and they said that, it was for the other dealer only, that they were going to charge the $250 more and you were buying the gift card basiclly. I contacted Nissan about it and they said they would take care of it. Anyway....I got it, so that was nice!

I bought a 2104 Nissan Rogue SV AWD with family package + splash guards + carpet floor mats for $25,400 + doc fee +tax in Toms River, NJ - which is supposedly below invoice according to both truecar.com and edmunds.com - but who knows what the invoice actually is with all the manufacturer to dealer incentives. That's the best price I could find - not much inventory out there with family package. All negotiations and deposit done over the phone - aside from a test drive at different dealer only went to dealer to hand over the check and pick up the car.
