I was home Tuesday afternoon, because there was a gas leak in my yard that had me up since 12am, and I thought take the new Rogue for a drive out to the slums of the future (Suburbs). The sun was out and I had the sunroof open. Sunlight was shining directly onto the navi/radio screen. Some screens, like the one in the new Rav4, will wash completely out under these conditions. I'm happy to report that the 2014 Nissan Rogue has no such issues. There is some glare that you can see in the video but that was not noticeable in person. Very impressed with the display.

That's odd, because I've had several instances where mine has been completely unusable because of sunlight glare. The aggravating part is that it seems to always happen when I pull up to get my son from daycare. It's kind of a semi circle drive where everyone pulls in, parks, goes to get their child, comes out and leaves. As you can imagine, there are lots of people moving around, cars are parked pretty close to each other, so I tend to rely heavily on the backup and around-view cameras. But because of the location of the drive-up and the time of day, the sun is shining directly onto my screen and I can't see a thing!

There's an adjustment in the setup section. You can have one setting for day and another for night, or in reality, one for when your headlights are off and another for when they are on.

Even on the "day" mode mine is not really visible in direct sunlight. I wasn't expecting an awesome screen for the price, however people should know that it is not as amazing as OP indicates.

I've had my Rogue for a month now and have experienced no problems with my NAV screen even in bright sunlight. The display is exactly like the one in my 2013 Altima and I've yet experienced a washout bad enough where it was unusable. Naturally direct sunlight will effect all such screens to some extant, but so far mine has been fine.

Sunlight will washout the screen some but in my experience it isn't very bad. Particularly when compared to the screen in the new Rav4. The radio and navi screens are very readable in direct sunlight for me. The only weak spot for me would be the Round View system in direct light....seems to wash out the most. Possibly due to the low res picture.
