2014 rogue headunit unicode (Chinese/Japanese/Korean) support

Hi all,

I would like to provide this information to those who might find it useful...since it is not available in their website nor brochure. I test drove the 2014 Nissan Rogue SV stock and their premium unit with navigation. I had a USB stick that contains music with Chinese songs title, artist name, also I connected to my phone via Bluetooth audio. To my surprise, the stock head-unit was able to display Chinese just fine, both in USB and Bluetooth audio mode. However the display in the speedometer just shows you are in USB mode/Bluetooth mode, nothing on artist or song title. The premium head-unit with navigation screen and graphic looks nicer, but it CANNOT display Chinese character at all, just blank space like many Nissan/Toyota product I have seen. I have tried both USB mode and Bluetooth audio mode, no luck. One thing that I like though is it will display the album art in usb mode if the song contains album art.

Hope this help those who are researching rogue like I am.

I went to the Nissan service center. They said they can not change unicode. I really need Korean.
